META-LANDSCAPES AND VISUAL AMBIENT DRONES

Engelund’s artwork explores the threshold of physical and psychological landscape, highlighting the emotive power of color and sense of time. His abstractions deconstruct and reconstruct art materials for non-traditional techniques towards an effect of visual drones and color fields. Engelund’s idea of the “visual time signnatures” creating impactful experience can be read in his essay “Meta-Landscapes: Expressions of Temporal Consciousness New Abstractions in Photography” in the International Database for Artistic Research, Research Catalog.
