Trees, like Fireworks. Poetry
“Trees, like Fireworks” is a minimal, poetic prose writing by Jason Engelund. Described as “sensory and subconscious language”, Engelund’s poetry aims to evoke visceral grounding in the reader. The poem promotes nature as a place to find revitalizing freedom from the troubles caused by greedy politicians of economics and their narrative of a corrupt, competitive capitalism. It is the` “Poetry of Geology vs the Labyrinth and Panopticon.”
This is the first of Engelund’s slow poems to have accompanying artwork. It is the third slow poem printed under the artist’s imprint.
